Lucas Vazquez To Remain At Madrid

26-year-old Spanish international Lucas Vázquez has stated that he sees no reason why he should leave Real Madrid CF.

Vázquez, who has been a subject of interest from various top European clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool, feels there is no reason for him to head out of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for greener pastures.

The two-time UEFA Champions League winner featured for the Real Madrid C team from 2010 to 2011 and scored twice in fourteen appearances. He got promoted to the Madrid B team and played for them between 2011 and 2015 and was capped 92 times, finding the back of the net only 15 times.

During his spell in the B team, he was loaned out to Espanyol in the 2014/2015 season and appeared in 33 games for the club outfit, scoring three times.

He never featured for Spain at the youth level but has been capped at the senior level.

His fans will surely be surprised at his reluctance to leave the Spanish capital as he has failed to nail a regular starting berth. He has been used sparingly over the years and doesn’t look to secure a regular spot anytime soon. Vazquez has netted four times in 25 league appearances for the Galacticos this season.
